Formed in 2004, Servitude is a culmination of some of the Chicago area’s most talented musicians. Started by (ex-Plague) guitarist Fly Affinitio and long-time friend (ex-Demented Ted and Beyond) drummer Mike Anderson, Servitude was to become traditional rock’s answer to the new music frontier. Hoping to fuse the simplistic songwriting of rock and roll’s roots with the aggressive, drop tuned edge of today, Affinito fulled out his musical lineup with Plague cohort (and ex-Mayhem) bass player Ron Holstein. To complete the band, the (ex-Open Hole Soul) known only as TJ was added and Servitude was born. Servitude is not masks, makeup or gimmicks. It is straight-forward, cutting edge rock and roll, holding true to its yesterdays while charging full steam into tomorrow.
